The Comprehensive 3D Digital Mapping and Protection Application Project of the Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian
In the 1920s, the fossilized skull of "Peking Man" was discovered at Zhoukoudian, which, as the birthplace of Peking-Man-fossils, has become a significant cultural heritage of China's Paleolithic Age. On March 4th, 1961, the Zhoukoudian Site was designated as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. In 1987, it was inscribed on the World Heritage List.
